This chocolate bar was as divine to unwrap as it was to consume. It came in a plastic sealed package that reminded me of my father’s old school tobacco pouches
I am a huge lover of dark chocolates, so I was in 7th heaven with this bar! What was most peculiar about this bar was that although the cinnamon smell was intense, you didn’t actually taste the cinnamon until the chocolate had melted away, and then BOY did it hit you

From Dolfin.be
Dolfin had the wonderful idea of combining the strength of a high-quality chocolate with the subtle flavours of carefully selected natural ingredients.
.
Tasteful chocolates created with patient skill is what you can expect from Dolfin, which offers a range of completely new delights and refined harmonies.
.
The first component is outstanding traditional Belgian chocolate, made with cocoa butter only. Relying on a subtle blend, and aspiring to achieve the most refined harmony possible, Dolfin seeks its inspiration from natural ingredients, ground, grated or crushed.
.
Unlike the principle governing flavour, which radiates throughout the chocolate, blending in with it, this brand new recipe promises a genuinely mouth-watering procession of flavours: first you taste the chocolate, then it melts. The other component, the sharp or mild spice, is revealed in all its purity, and so on and so forth, all designed to heighten your eating pleasure.

I presume “cinnamon from Ceylan” means cinnamon from Ceylon, or Sri Lanka as it is now known. This is definitely the world’s best cinammon. Very intersting that the cinnamon hit you after the chocolate, because as a sweet spice it normally hits you before other flavours in a dish. But I guess in this case the overpowering sweetness of the chocolate gets in first. I’ve ordered an egg from Hotel Chocolat and I’m eagerly waiting for it to arrive.
dark chocolate and cinnamon - 2 of my most favourite things
you ordered 1 egg?
oo fancy (went to the website), which one is yours?
I don’t like cinnamon but I am still drooling over your chocolate
Sorry - looks like I posted you the wrong link. I was thinking about posting a new movie clip and looking at the film Chocolat!
This is the “1 egg” I’ve ordered. Exuberantly fruity like me and one is quite enough. Any more and I’d risk spoiling my gorgeous figure. But I’m sure if I was in Trinidad right now you could talk me into nibbling one each.
Happy Easter.
hahahaha
and i remember your spice aversion
jews don’t do easter bb
but i’m having an amazingly dull passover if that counts… i want that egg… i want it now!!!!!
i’m guessing fruity doesn’t mean ‘gay’ in those parts?
