Twit this, twit that. Tweet me here. Tweet me there. It’s all I’ve been hearing for months, and I’ve finally caved. That’s right, I’m on Twitter! So click the below image to ‘Follow me’ as the parlance goes.
This and many other Twitter badges at Siah Design
I’m still getting the swing of this but I’m itching to interact with y’all in new ways! Also, feel free to use the new “Twit This” link that I’ve added below each post to ‘tweet’ those articles and recipes that have caught your …

The following article appeared in Trinidad’s Newsday Newspaper last month. As I have written previously the rising cost of food prices has hit us hard here. It’s not uncommon to see the price of a product rise every 7 days on some items. It’s almost criminal. Who is to blame? The suppliers? The distributors? The supermarkets themselves? And should the government help to offset these fluctuations? These are …

In other news… 2008 has barely begun and already it’s stressing me out. The New Year literally started out with me submitting my first refund, in over a year of mailing out Naparima Cookbooks. And it wasn’t the last… It appears that everything shipped on December 5th has gone AWOL. What makes this upsetting to me is that the packages were mailed promptly from my end and did arrive in the US, however the US Postal Service still has failed to forward them from the port of entry. Now I …

Hey everyone! I can’t believe it’s been so long since my ‘triumphant’ return post Honestly, I never thought that things would get so hectic, so quickly. Yes, it was holiday season but still! Basically, within one week of writing my last post I was offered a weekly radio segment, signed up to become an Avon Lady (hehehe, if you’re in the POS area/West Trinidad I’d love you to contact me) and also restarted my coaching practice. Between that and making time for an equally unexpected ’significant …

Thanks to everyone who sent emails of concern and encouragement, I will respond to everyone in due time There were some rather unkind comments as well, but that’s life …

Well, here it is! The long anticipated (hehe) roundup of this month’s installment of Hay Hay it’s Donna Day. This was my first time at hosting a food event and I really have to thank Barbara (this event’s creator, and resident cook at Winos and Foodies) for holding my hand throughout the process. I really had a blast going through everyone’s entries and have added all of you to my RSS feed, as well as bookmarked your submissions to try at home myself
Voting on this month’s …

Welcome to the latest installment of Hay Hay It’s Donna Day It’s a huge pleasure (and honour) to host this current round, my first time hosting a food event of any kind!
Barbara, of Winos and Foodies has been an amazing help to me in setting everything up and definitely deserves a hearty shout-out
So, on to this month’s theme! I toyed with many ideas before settling on that of tarts. I love their elegant simplicity, and how they can so easily accommodate seasonal produce …

Here at TriniGourmet I always try to maintain a balance between indulgence and healthy living. It is this type of balance that I think is the key to a harmonious life and overall wellness. Although my focus here is food, this blog and my everyday reality doesn’t exist in a vacuum. Unfortunately a balanced approach to living is all too often not being passed on to the younger generations in our society. The pull of instant gratification when not tempered with education and awareness is a dangerous thing and we …
