		<description>lilandra - good question! :) alcohol is certified kosher when prepared under rabbinical supervision to make sure that no treif or harram(sp) ingredients and/or combinations enter the finished product. We don&#039;t have rabbinical supervision but i&#039;m not too worried about angostura grinding pig lard into the vats... if you hear something though let me know :D 

there are many different philosophical/theoretical schools of judaism and some take kashrut (the laws of kosherness) as also having an ethical dimension. So in that case alcohol that may legally be kosher, may not ethically be kosher depending on the human conditions it was created under, or if the person is an alcoholic or already drunk. what not what not.</description>
