Kicking Ice Cream Up A Notch – Trini Style!

23 November 2006 5,843 views One Comment

I am taking a second from cooking to post a Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers in the US. I hope that it will be a pleasant one! I myself am whipping up a storm as today is my mother’s birthday. I’ll post pics and recipes over the next few days. Until then I’ll leave you with a little tip. Maybe you can even implement it today! ;)

Have you tried splashing Angostura bitters on your ice cream? Because Angostura has a light uplifting flavour with some citrusy undertones I find it works better with pale colored icecreams like vanilla and citrus-flavored icecreams like orange and lemon.

I love love love Angostura bitters. We always put them in our homemade milkshakes. We put them in just about anything. If you have an upset stomach, a few shakes of bitters in a little water will also help settle it.
