MovieTowne
Filed Under thoughts | Posted on September 10, 2007

Forget about popcorn, when I go to the movies I’m all about the steak fries and MovieTowne’s are the greatest! I don’t know what they season them with, and I’ve tried to figure it out. I suspect there is some seasoning salt going on, and maybe a little Italian seasoning. They are always perfectly crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. Drizzled with ketchup and hot pepper sauce and they’re all I need to enjoy a flick (along with a large sorrel soda)
The onion rings keep tempting me to stray but I’ve maintained my loyalty so far
I suspect I can easily consume 3 days worth of calories in one MovieTowne jaunt so it’s probably a good thing I only go every few months or so

oh yeah. those wedges are great. always burn my mouth on the steam coming out from them though. occasionally get the wontons, but the wedges are the best. I miss movies at Movietowne. And sushi.
why does that place look like every other place everywhere else? There is Ruby Tuesdays and Radio Shack. I thought you lived in Trinidad. Why are American companies trying to take over everything?
Hot pepper sauce on fried potatoes is brilliant. I need some TODAY.
Sounds like a great place. There’s a movie theater near here that has a full bar and menu and they bring it out during the movie so you don’t miss a thing. I know that it’s the height of laziness on my part, but I love that place!
What is that place?!!! I have never seen it! WOW it looks great…do they still have the old cinemas like Globe and Strand and the one in Barataria?
Chennette - hey i miss movies at movietowne too
but your excuse is better than mine… (laziness
)
GC - welcome to globalization!

Nice to see more sights of Trinidad.
We have potato wedges EVERYWHERE here, BUT no Sorrel soda….can someone send some to me?!!!
One day I will make it there.
I thought it would be with my “ex dream man” who is Trini, but I will make it there with a “new dream man”.
Wow, those Trini men can break some hearts!!
