PRESS: TriniGourmet Founder appointed Associate Editor of “Cooking Sense” Magazine

Local food blogger Sarina Nicole Bland has been appointed Associate Editor of Cooking Sense, a new Caribbean magazine.

The founder of and author of 2 e-books, Bland’s work in local and regional cuisine has been spotlighted in local media as well as international outlets such as The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveller and NPR.

“We chose to work with Sarina because she’s one of a few food bloggers who presents Caribbean cuisine outside of the clichés and stereotypes that many associate with it” states Hermina Charlery, Editor-in-Chief of Cube Publishing, the Barbadian based imprint behind Cooking Sense.

“Caribbean cuisine is more than jerk, curry, or boiled ground provisions. Our cuisine caters to a range of tastes; dishes can be gourmet, gluten-free, vegan, haute, kosher, etc and still very Caribbean. Sarina has done a good job showing this.”

A celebration of our region’s culinary diversity, Cooking Sense aims to capture and share the essence of Caribbean cuisine. It is currently published three times a year in Barbados and St. Lucia with plans to enter the Trinidadian market later this year.
