This recipe went together so quickly and easily. And boy did it pack a punch
A punch of yum that is!
I love how the coolness of the lettuce and tomatoes played off of the scotch bonnet’s heat. The combination reminded me of buljol [1] (but without the saltfish). Feel free to use whatever lettuce you may have on hand. I used romaine this time around, because that is what was in the fridge, but next time it will probably be iceberg
The title by the way is an homage to the tune of the same name by Dave Koz
Sarina’s ‘Bang Bang’ Salsa

Ingredients:
4 small red ripe tomatoes, chopped
1/4 cup onion, minced
3 leaves romaine lettuce, shredded
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
1 scotch bonnet pepper, finely choped
Salt
Directions:
Mix all ingredients together. Serve at room temperature.
