Tried this recipe tonight. Perfect! My sons say that this bun gives the ones from Linda's some serious competition – if you are from Trinidad you will know what I am talking about! Moist, rose beautifully and the colour was perfect. I used saffron. Also I made them in the bread machine. Wet ingredients first, dry on top and added the fruit when the machine asked me to. Worked very well.

I just made these buns and they are soooo good and yes the tumeric gives it a nice colour.

Finally got firefox installed on my laptop. Those hot cross buns look so luscious. I believe I’ve never had them before but how I wish one is in front of me right now…not in my monitor though…:)
