White bread is nasty because it dissolves in your mouth. Wonder brand white bread is especially bad in this regard, and can stick to the roof of your mouth if you don’t swallow the stuff immediately. Whole grain bread at least has some texture and flavor to it.

Nutrition wise, white bread is little more than filler carbs and simple sugars without any fiber or nutrients, kind of like beer. That being said, I do enjoy a cold beer every once in a while.

This little article answers ALL my questions. Now I can continue educating people on nasty store bought bread. I always wondered why store bought bread can’t taste as good as home made…Hello! Chemicals!
I challenge anyone to make their own bread for one month and then go buy a loaf at the store. You will be amazed at just how crappy store bought bread really tastes.
