Trinidad & Tobago Restaurant Week 2018!

Five menus over three days! Gastronomic terrorism I called it, only slightly tongue-in-cheek. Indeed there is no denying the dizzying force that Trinidad & Tobago Restaurant Week has grown into over the last three years.
Over 87 establishments participated this time around, and the number of those featuring vegetarian and special menus has also grown due to participant feedback. It’s certainly a joy for me to see people planning their menus and get-togethers both online and off to take advantage of the fixed price offerings at establishments many of us are heading to for the first time. Indeed many spots choose to extend their restaurant week offerings even after the official end!
This year I was excited to experience a variety of restaurants, some familiar, others new (to me) and one I hadn’t been to in a very long while. It was the perfect premise to reconnect with old friends who I rarely get to see anymore, and of course, to eat!
I hope you’ll enjoy my posts over the rest of this week as I share my experiences at:
- Paprika Bistro
- Taste Vinoteca (Dinner)
- La Cantina, Port of Spain
- Taste Vinoteca (Lunch)
- Kaizan Sushi, MovieTowne
