When I was in high school there was a brief craze among my parents, and their friends, to make noni juice at home. If you've never smelled a noni fruit count yourself lucky, very lucky! There was no way to avoid the "aroma" on those weekends! 😂
Happy Friday all! I just had to share a throwback Happy Friday all! I just had to share a throwback pic of this awesome @instantpotofficial Air Fryer Lid that I procured a year ago thanks to the generosity of the SN Famalay! So far I've had wonderful results with the bake, broil and air-fry features (and shown the process on-stream). I'm still to utilise the roast and dehydrate settings but I know I will eventually. Definitely a wonderful supplement to my well-used dedicated Air-Fryer and a wonderful expansion of the Instant Pot's original capabilities! ⁠

I remember one evening when I had just put bread in the oven and a guest called to say they would have to cancel as their ride had bailed on them. It was a small gathering so we all bounced into my car to pick them up! It was a definite ice breaker and hey what’s a little “toast” between friends lol 😆⁠

With a Milo Cookie crust base and a perimeter of Tollhouse Chocolate Chips (both from @nestlecaribbean) and light coffee notes from @angosturahouse Mokatika liqueur. The end result was definitely bakery worthy. Smooth, firm and not too sweet⁠

[LINK IN BIO] I originally laminated his handwritten notes, given to me when I went off to the US for college, so that they would survive the inevitable spills and splashes of my initial trials. Now I'm so glad I did as they still look as new now as when he first handed them to me. This dish was his go-to over Carnival Monday & Tuesday! ⁠ ⁠

Happy Monday! Can you believe January is almost ov Happy Monday! Can you believe January is almost over? Last weekend I enjoyed celebrating a best friend’s birthday at @trotterstnt and it got me thinking that I really should set aside more deliberate time to eat with others this year.  From there my list of Culinary Resolutions for 2023 emerged! 

How about you? Do you plan to spend more time in the kitchen this year, or less? More time dining out? Less? Any culinary challenges you plan on taking on? 🤔😂🤗
OK! Not being biased but I think this is the best OK! Not being biased but I think this is the best flan I’ve -ever- made! Okay, it’s also the -only- flan I’ve ever made but let’s not dwell on such little details! ⁠

This recipe for “Quick & Easy Flan” [LINK IN BIO] came together so effortlessly in the Instant Pot and was my first time attempting this kind of a dessert in a pressure cooker. Although the cooking process occurred live on my @Twitch stream, the recipe itself needed to cool and set overnight in the fridge. Thus the un-molding didn’t occur until the next afternoon. But wasn’t that little “crack” in the first clip satisfying? 🤗💕✨
