deVine Saturdays @ MoreVino

Learnt about the following from Island Spice :)

deVine Saturdays: Get in the spirit. Complimentary pastelles with every bottle of wine. Live Parang from Los Parranderos de UWI. @ MoreVino, Ariapita Avenue, Port of Spain (Trinidad)

I have mixed feelings about MoreVino. I love the location and the ambience, however the last time I was there the baba ganoush was ice cold and they brought the wrong drink order. Maybe this will convince me to give them another try?

Hiya!! ‘deVine Saturdays’ has been hosted at More Vino since this summer. It usually involves a special cover charge with includes food and a glass of wine. It runs on alternate weeks to the ‘Amateurs’ events. deVine features a select menu from different restaurants each week.. the first one I went to had A La Bastille and was Champagne and Oysters.. it was great!! I craved both for weeks after. I have been trying to go ever since..

As for MoreVino itself.. you are right, I love the ambience but the service is not the best. I find the waiters seem to tend to the ‘regulars’ much more than newbies. I’ve had a couple good glasses of wine there tho.. and its a nice place to chill out and watch the world go by..

Thanks for expanding the description. I am much more heartened now that I know that -they- are not making the food… ice cold baba ganoush.. i still shudder! It was colder than the drinks lol … that’s not right!
